After weeks of holding our breath, Rihanna finally releases her new single, Diamonds. But does it sparkle?
Hi guys, it's Erin with ClevverMusic, and we have been waiting for our new Rihanna fix for several weeks now, and IheartRadio finally released the song this morning, and it's a new, simplier look at RiRi. She gives us a sense of a softer side with a touching message and throws in a hint of 80s inspiration in the beat. Now, the song is a bit slower paced than we are use to, definitelly easy listening Id say...but does focus a bit more on her vocals AND we can even hear a bit of her accent in pieces of the chorus which is one of the reasons we adore her so much. Some people are already criticizing the track, saying that it's a bit safe for Rihanna, as we have all grown to love so many of her dance hits such as "We Found Love"and "Only Girl In The World."
Diamods is the first release off of her seventh album, and there are still a ton of rumors about what the album will be called & when we can expect it. From what we can tell, we should have it come November of this year, and we are curious as to if this single will set the tone for the rest of the songs. Now it's your turn!
