Train ploughs into bus on crossing, kills 42 in Ukraine Dec 15th 2012, 01:03 The number of dead from a train crash in Eastern Ukraine has risen to 42, according to local officials. The casualties were on a bus at a railroad crossing, when the train smashed into them and dragged the vehicle for at least 30 meters. It's feared the number of victims could still increase, as many of the injured are in a critical condition. Police say the bus driver ignored a warning siren and passengers' requests to stop, and tried to cross the tracks.
